LMMR celebrate solar lighting funding success

There’s good news for Cynheidre as the Llanelli and Mynydd Mawr Railway (L&MMR) have been awarded a £1907.67 grant from The Coalfields Regeneration Trust.

The Community Grant was set up to strengthen and celebrate Coalfield Communities, which are currently facing unprecedented challenges because of the COVID-19 outbreak. The funding will enable the L&MMR to provide solar lighting throughout the site.

David Mee, Publicity Officer said: “This funding from the Coalfields Regeneration Trust is a great help in developing a safe environment for our visitors and volunteers and is one more step towards making the L&MMR a first class destination and attraction for the local community ”

The Coalfields Regeneration Trust exists to help provide quality infrastructure in former mining communities. Grants like this one are giving a helping hand to organisations across our Coalfield Communities.”
